Slovakia is a country with a rich hunting tradition and history. The Carpathian mountains, meadows and deep green forests have been home to various species of animals for thousands of years The Small Carpathian region is located in the western part of the country, with its pole position coming courtesy of its proximity to Bratislava and also Vienna and Budapest. The dominant feature is Záruby (768 m), the highest peak in the Small Carpathians.

Slovak Forest Services s.r.o. - which focuses its activities chiefly on the management of forest land and breeding ungulates with a valuable gene pool and high-value trophy hunting and farming - has prepared unique hunting on a hunting range for you in the forests of the Small Carpathians with an area encompassing more than 2800 hectares, of which 420 hectares is made up by the Balunky game reserve. Balunky was founded in 1997 and high quality trophy mouflon, fallow deer and red deer can be found there. The highest quality imported mouflon game from the Czech Republic has been added to the original mouflon. The fallow deer originates in Hungary from the Gúth game preserve where the strongest trophy fallow deer in the world was caught. The original red deer has been enriched by high quality animals from Slovakia (Polana, Dolny Kubin), and Hungary.


Directly inside the Balunky game preserve, the national record of Fallow deer was caught. In year 2009 the trophy was in the national exhibition 2009 "Hunting and Nature, Bratislava 2011" valued by 217.02 CIC points. In the world rankings it is the 13th strongest trophy of fallow deer in the world. Deer, whose trophy reached 243.94 CIC points is the second strongest trophy deer that was caught in the territory of Slovakia. The strongest mouflon trophy with 237.70 CIC points is the fourth strongest in Slovakia.

Success of individual hunting is guaranteed by the dense network of groomed trails for hunting and the still hunting is guaranteed by sufficient number of suitably located perches.
